MONTANA TENT CAMPAIGN SEPTEMBER 2012

God's people braved the cold weather in the Cape and attended the District's campaign in Montana. Pastor Lefume presented the Gospel with power.

Summary of the Sermon - JESUS FOR A TROUBLED WORLD.

1. In the midst of all the chaos in our world we can find peace.
2. Peace is not the absence of troubles but knowing that in the midst of troubles you are safe under the wings of Jesus.
3. We have to realise that we need help not from within ourselves but from outside of ourselves.
4. This is contrary to popular motivational talks, true succes, peace and happines is found in Jesus.
5. God actually boasts about us that when temptations come we will call upon Him and claim the solution which God provided for us before we even tempted. 1 Corinthians 10 vs 13.
6. Wen we concetrate on the temptatio/trouble and not claim the solution God becomes dissapointed.
7. When we committ our lives to God, our lives are extended, God's mercu and goodnes persues us, chase after us.
8. We must cast all our burdens unto the Lord for he cares for us. Casting our anxieties unto the Lord means we simply separate with them and have no attachments to them as the Lord Jesus is taking care of them, we are thus liberated from them and have found peace and joy in their absence.
